This Modernist dwelling designed by Joachim Schurmann in 1964 is of significant architectural value. Set into the slope of the site overlooking Dublin City, the square plan includes a central courtyard, entirely glazed to the interior. Selective openings in the defensive exterior brickwork relate to the functional aspects of the interior spaces whilst providing specific views over the rolling landscape and Dublin beyond. PAC Studio are providing design consultancy to our Client for the restoration and refurbishment of the dwelling, including the integration of effective energy strategies within the micro-climate of the site.
