This new residence in Killiney is on a narrow plot of land falling south to the shore, with views to Dublin bay. Our response to this sloping site funnels both the south light and the views deep into the slender plan. A central courtyard brings light and air to the core of the plan, and circulation wraps this central atrium. Light is reflected and directed through both the walls and sculpted roofscape, giving a continual shifting atmosphere that responds to the seasons. The upper storey at road level contains all living accommodation, with bedrooms at the lower garden level.
