This private residence stands on a traditional mews to the rear of a Georgian terrace on Leinster Road. Currently occupied by a garage, our proposal is driven by the need for an external garden space on an extremely shallow plot. To ensure privacy of the external spaces and to maximise sunlight, the entire ground floor is considered as one living space defined by the boundary wall. All ground floor walls are glazed sliding screens enabling the living spaces to become part of the garden, and vice-versa. The glass and stone clad upper block spans across the boundary walls and contains the sleeping accommodation.
