This existing mews house in Dublin City Centre was closed to the rear garden, and our
design proposal opens up the rear of the house with a glazed extension wrapping around the existing stepped gable. This plan form covered with a folding zinc roof provides a new private courtyard to the south, and terraced patios to the east garden. The project encompasses the full refurbishment of the existing house, including an holistic low energy strategy for the heating, including solar panels and insulation of the existing building fabric, all supported by Sustainable Energy Ireland.
